As part of M Group Services’ ongoing commitment to support the communities in which we work, our Milestone Infrastructure Oxfordshire team was delighted to recently spend a morning volunteering in the beautiful grounds of Katharine House Hospice.

Katharine House Hospice provides vital care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses. The Hospice is integral to the local community and the families it supports and close to the heart of our team, as the hospice cared for one of our much-loved colleagues.

The hospice gardens are an important, tranquil space for the people cared for at Katharine House, as well as their families and the incredible staff.

Our team of eight volunteers from the Oxfordshire Highways contract, dedicated a morning to keeping the gardens looking their best, tidying up overgrown hedges and cutting back long grass. Their efforts resulted in 12 one-tonne bags of garden waste being cleared in just under three hours.

Sue Blank, Katharine House Hospice Corporate Engagement Officer, said: “We are grateful to all at Milestone Infrastructure for your continued support to Katharine House Hospice, by both raising funds and volunteering your time.

“Our beautiful gardens mean a lot to our patients and their families. We have wonderful regular volunteers, but there is a lot to keep on top of. Your hard work was much appreciated. Thank you!”

Across M Group Services, we are passionate about finding and creating social value opportunities as an essential element of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments.
