Milestone Infrastructure brings sustainable merch to Highways UK 2023

Last week, Milestone Infrastructure attended Highways UK 2023 at The NEC, Birmingham and supplied attendees with sustainable coasters and seed-filled business cards.

Made of 100% recycled materials, the coasters and business cards were produced by Nuneaton Signs, a social enterprise which works to provide employment opportunities for those with registered disabilities. Currently over 70% of their workforce is represented by employees with a registered disability.

At Milestone, we are proud of our long-standing relationship with Nuneaton Signs, who have consistently delivered high quality signage across the whole of our business, while creating genuine impact to those experiencing barriers entering meaningful employment.

We have worked closely with Nuneaton Signs, to ensure that where possible, we’re creating a positive lasting legacy.

We are committed to creating social value opportunities in the communities where we work, to ensure that where possible our investment is creating a positive, lasting legacy. Over the past year, we have generated over £376,066 worth of social value by using Nuneaton Signs for our signage and printing requirements.

We also hope that our business cards, embedded with wildflower seeds, will help attendees’ gardens bloom. By planting the business cards, attendees of the event are helping to support biodiversity.

In addition, we work with Loop, The Social Value People, to track our social value impact. Using market-leading software forecasts, Loop evaluates the entire life-cycle of our projects, to accurately quantify and demonstrate how much social value we are generating.
