On Thursday 25 November, winners celebrated as the results of the 2021 HPC Excellence Awards were announced at the Somerset County Cricket club in Taunton.
The Finalists in 13 award categories across the three themes of Project Delivery, Supply Chain and People & Behaviours along with their nominators and senior leaders gathered together at the gala event - the first back at the cricket club after two years. The audience enjoyed hearing details of the individuals', teams and supplier's achievements. EDF in the UK's CEO Simone Rossi opened the event, praising the winners and their role in helping Britain achieve Net Zero.
At the end of the evening Stuart Crooks presented the Managing Director's award. The recipient was Martin Burke, Bylor Construction Lead, who Stuart thanked for embodying all of HPC's values in equal measure and for how he stepped forward to take charge of an area in challenging circumstances.
Over the last year the Milestone environmental team put a lot of hard work into innovative ways of improving the environment on HPC.
This award is testament to their resilience and tenacity in this area.
Well done
