We are delighted to announce that we have achieved Gold Charter Mark status by the Social Recruitment Advocacy Group for our Social Value commitments and delivery.

The Social Recruitment Advocacy Group, led by skills and training business, PeoplePlus, encourages a greater focus by businesses to recruit those who face barriers accessing the labour market.

Across Milestone, we recognise the importance of embracing diversity, promoting equal opportunities, and supporting individuals, which strengthens our workforce and creates a positive legacy in the communities in which we work.

Achieving Gold Charter Mark status reflects the work we have done to support individuals who face disadvantages in the jobs market, offering skills development opportunities, creating community engagement, and ensuring Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) integration.

As part of this commitment, we have worked hard to create and promote opportunities to develop within our business, and our industry. This has seen our teams working with local colleges to offer supported internship placements for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and the launch of our Military Accelerated Programme (MAP). Under our MAP, we offer Service Leavers roles and remuneration packages based on their potential to succeed in the role, rather than their highways qualifications and experience, as well as ensuring the CV of every applicant who is an Armed-Forces leaver is reviewed.
