We are dedicated to proactive environmental management at all levels, positively influencing and working with key stakeholders, especially our clients and our supply chain. We recognise the challenges faced by our clients to reduce and tackle the impact of climate change and the loss of biodiversity. Working collaboratively with our clients we are supporting the delivery of climate emergency declarations and net-zero carbon targets. 
We are actively working to reduce carbon emissions associated with the infrastructure assets we build and maintain by implementing innovative solutions. As an example, we are using hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) diesel in our fleet to reduce carbon emissions by more than 90 per cent and reducing harmful exhaust emissions from the vehicles. We are at the forefront of trialling innovative low emission plant and equipment, such as electric excavators and road sweepers as well as reducing our reliance on fossil fuels to power our sites and compounds through the use of renewable energy generated on site.
We have a dedicated team of skilled environmental professionals who support both our projects and our clients, delivering best value in a range of specialist and technical subjects such as environmental assessment and design, carbon, biodiversity and waste management.
Working closely with our supply chain, design teams and clients, we bring innovation and new products to projects and share outcomes across our business.
Milestone Infrastructure operates permitted waste and materials recycling facilities, reducing the amount of waste disposed on our projects as well as implementing a circular economy approach to infrastructure maintenance.
